Delete in the app
- Open Okayo and go to Profile, then Privacy and data, then Delete account.
- If you own vehicles shared with other people, you choose for each one: hand it to another editor, or delete it.
- Confirm with the 6-digit code we send to your email, then confirm once more.
Reminders stop at once. You are signed out on that phone, and the app's copies on it are deleted, including photos that were only on that phone.
If you can't open the app
Email privacy@okayo.com.lk from the address on your account, with the subject Delete my account. We delete it the same way as the in-app flow.
Requests go to privacy@okayo.com.lk. We can only act on mail sent from your account email.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in details.
- Your vehicles.
- Your papers' details, such as dates, issuers and numbers.
- Your reminders.
- Your costs: fuel, service and expenses.
- Your fines.
- Your sharing: the people you invited and their access.
Document photos you did not back up with Pro cloud backup only ever lived on your phone. They go when the app is cleared on that phone.
What happens next
Your account and everything in it are deleted after 7 days. Sign in within those 7 days to cancel the deletion.
Backups that contain your data are removed within [BACKUP RETENTION, owner to confirm].
The privacy notice lists how long we keep other data.
If you have Pro
Deleting your account does not cancel a Pro subscription. Cancel it in Google Play so you are not charged again.
