Privacy notice

Draft 0.1. Last updated 31 Oct 2026. Matches the in-app notice version 0.1.

Our promises

No ads. We never sell or rent your data. Insurers and partners never contact you unless you ask.

This page matches the privacy notice you see in the app before you agree to it. If the two ever differ, the app's notice is the one you agreed to.

What Okayo stores

Account
Your sign-in identity (an email address, or the name and email from your Google or Apple account), your language, and when you agreed to the privacy notice.
Vehicles
Name, number plate, year, type, fuel and odometer readings.
Papers
Paper types, dates, issuers and numbers, such as a policy number, that you type in or confirm after a scan.
Records
Fuel, service, expense and fine entries, your custom reminders and your reminder settings.
People you share with
The names and email addresses of people you invite to a vehicle, and their role.
Purchases
Whether you have Pro and when it ends. Google Play handles your card, and Okayo never sees it.
Usage and errors
Screen and page counts, and error reports with personal details removed.

What stays on your phone

Document photos stay on your phone unless you turn on Pro cloud backup. Accident photos, the accident session and your location in Accident mode stay on your phone and are deleted after 24 hours.

Okayo reads scanned pages on your phone. Scan help is off by default. When you turn it on, it sends only redacted text, never the photo, to fill in missing fields.

Where your data is stored

Your account data is stored with Neon in Singapore and served through Cloudflare. Document photos stay on your phone unless you turn on Pro cloud backup.

This is outside Sri Lanka, so the laws of those countries also apply to it.

Who processes it

These services handle some of your data for Okayo. Each is listed by what it does. Countries marked “To confirm” are filled in from the processor table before launch.
